Eli had the time of his life on our trip to the NC Transportation Museum's annual Day Out With Thomas. It's funny how even mundane things like blowing bubbles and writing on the ground with chalk become so exciting when a million kids and Thomas are involved. E really enjoyed the Thomas moonbounce and the Thomas/Bob the Builder putt-putt. He (not surprisingly) was pretty good at the golf, too! I got the honors of sharing a seat with him when our turn to ride Thomas came around. He was thrilled by the whole thing, and completely refused me any opportunity to look out the window. He hogged it the entire time, and his only wish was that Thomas would go a little faster like when he races Emily or Bertie! The entire day was picture perfect. The museum took care of all our needs, and even left us with some (free!) souvenirs, including a Thomas tattoo that was not to be washed off for over a week (and left us with two screaming, heartbroken fans when it finally rubbed off nearly two weeks later!) and some cool magnets for the fridge. I highly recommend the experience to anyone with Thomas fans looking for a fun family experience!
