Dog Tired

Eli had lots of fun today at the Vet School's Open House. The first thing we did when we got off the bus was watch a doggie drill team. We have to admit, we didn't get it. It didn't seem that hard, and it certainly wasn't very entertaining. But, then again, what do we know? Lucky for us, the next thing was a demonstration of training dogs to play Flyball, followed by a Flyball competition. It was awesome! Inside Eli really enjoyed the aquarium and then back outside he kinda noticed the horses and the falcons. Unfortunately, the Open House committee didn't consult me about naptime, and Eli just couldn't take very much. He fell right asleep on Daddy's shoulders, and didn't wake up until we were sitting on the bus headed home. Daddy was quite a trooper and carried him for more than half of our day without the tiniest complaint. The whole while Chloe and I were zigging and zagging all over the place to peer in at animals and touch anything we were allowed to touch. I felt a little guilty about the whole thing, but you know how it is. Girls just wanna have fun.
