First time the crayons made it to the paper, instead of his mouth. (However, his tongue is still green from the PlayDoh Chloe and I overlooked on the floor this morning.) Pretty good picture for his first go!
First time he responded to "Eli! Smile!" by looking and smiling with typical toddler exaggeration.
Not the first time he has climbed up to the slide (he loves stairs.. too bad we don't have any!), but it is the first time I took a picture of it.
First time riding the tire swing. The first time we rode he did great, perhaps causing me to become a bit cocky. The second time, a dog came into the park. Naturally this caused Eli to excitedly wave his arms and bark loudly, forgetting my previous admonitions to "Hold on tight, Buddy!"and PLOP! right through the hole he fell. There he lay, flat on his back, confused, with Chloe peering down from above. He never even let out so much as a whimper. As I scooped him up, the dog owner remarked, "He's a resiliant one!" I can't say that I've ever heard that about Eli before... another first!
